Luana Simpson is a choreographer/dancer originally from Brazil; she grew up training in various styles such as jazz, ballet, lyrical, tap and hip-hop. Looking to improve on her technique and choreography skills she went to New York City to study at Broadway Dance Center, Peridance, Steps on Broadway and Alvin Ailey. Luana also studied in Brazil under the world-renowned contemporary dance company Quasar.
In 2009 Simpson was asked to be an actress, choreographer and dancer for the movie “You got served 2 – Beat the world” directed by Robert Adetuyi, writer of “Stomp the Yard”. After the movie she came back to multiple jobs in Brazil such as choreographing for popular “TV Xuxa” at Rede Globo Television, opening for Beyonce (I Am… World Tour) with known artists Wanessa Camargo, and dancing and choreographing for Brazilian artists such as, Lorena Simpson, Angel B, Daya Luz and Tais Alvarenga. Between her work as a choreographer and her many jobs as a dancer she has performed on several TV shows, live concerts, commercials and making it to the top 4 on the first season of “SYTYCD Brazil”. She also starred in the Walt Disney Musical directed by well-known Broadway American choreographer and director Jeff Whiting. Luana has also taught in multiple dance conventions all over the country.
Luana finally made her move to America in 2011 and immediately was signed by a well renowned talent agency. Her first job in L.A. was as a featured dancer in a national campaign for “So You Think You Can Dance” (Season 9) taking her face to all billboards in the US, including Times Square in NYC.
Beginning her international career she has worked for Willow Smith, BET star Katlynn Simone, the Emmy nominated TV show “East Los High season 2”, various commercials and music videos, and she has also been featured in Dance Magazines such as “Dance Spirit Magazine” and “Dance Mogul Magazine”. Luana also became the first Brazilian to teach at Millennium Dance Complex in Los Angeles, one of the best dance studios in the world.  In 2015 she worked with the award-winning film American director Kenny Ortega, fulfilling one of her dreams as a dancer.
Luana has gotten much acclaim due to her unique style with a touch of Brazilian flavor.
